“Cetatea Brasovului” Duathlon
Two new categories from 2011. Relay Profi and Relay Companies
Participants: with a minimum age of 18, professional sportsmans or not, have to compete on 3 events:
1 – running: 5km
2 – mountain bike race (MBT): profi Men, relay profi (2*12,5Km); profi Women (12,5Km); hobby, relay (approx 8Km)
3 – running: 5Km
Events:
The competition will start at Tampa Hill base, in the parc near Bastionul Tesatorilor.
The participants will start running from Bastionul Tesatorilor to City Library along the walls of Brasov Citadel running through the following points: Olimpia Sport center, Ecaterina’s Gate, “Dupa ziduri” street, Black Tower , White Tower.
The running surface is 70% asphalt and 30% macadam. Height difference is +200m. In the running range there are 2 Control Points CP1 and CP2 and one refreshing point.
MBT race starts from the parc, Bastionul Tesatorilor, going up on Tampa Hill, height difference + 1350m. The race is 95% on accidental ground and 5% on asphalt. High difficult areas are presignalized.During the MBT race the participants have to go through the other Control points CP3, CP4 and CP5. One refreshment point is also available for bike race.
Equipment: for running no special equipment nedeed; for MBT race: bike with 26” wheels and crash helmet.
Documents nedeed for sign-up:
- sign-up form online or paper filled and signed
- proof of payment
- Own responsibility statement (the form is completed in competition day before pick up the number)
- competition number: pick up from organizers with the ID card
Sign-up fee:
- 60 RON: till 31.08.2011 ( profi mans, profi women, hobby man, hobby women) and 80 RON after this date
- 90 RON: till 31.08.2011 ( relay profi, relay hobby) and 110 RON after this date
- 100 RON: till 31.08.2011 ( relay companies ) and 120 RON after this date
